Summary: Castle Brands is reintroducing the brand in a crystal clear bottle and design, from Claessens International, that retains the brand's black-and-silver palette while adding a more contemporary look.
Design takes up the sword for vodka brand
"Having a very high product in the premium segment is not enough, says Claes Fick, Chief Marketing Officer at Castle Brands, New York City marketer of Boru vodka. "We realized that our old packaging did not measure up to the quality of the bottle's contents."
Castle Brands is reintroducing the brand in a crystal clear bottle and design, from Claessens International, that retains the brand's black-and-silver palette while adding a more contemporary look.
The bottles, from the Glaswerk Ernstthal GmbH & Co. unit of August Pohili GmbH & Co., bear a sword and shield icon above the brand name, deep vertical side-panel cuts representing swords, and a debossed black shield announcing that the charcoal-filtered vodka from Ireland is distilled five times.
